HOPE Healthcare Services Announces Expansion of Services
Avon, IN— Access to healthcare is a looming issue not only in our world at large today but here in Hendricks County as well. About 19,000 adults (age 18-65) in Hendricks County do not have health insurance (2014 data). Furthermore, the county’s population to primary-care-provider ratio is 1749:1 as compared to 1518:1 for the state of Indiana. HOPE Healthcare Services has researched ways to increase their work and impact in their community, and is excited to announce that they are expanding their services in 2017 to include Direct Primary Care.
Hope Healthcare Services (HOPE) contributes to the health and spiritual wellbeing of those in need for the glory of Christ and the advancement of His kingdom. Anyone of any faith, or no faith, may be a HOPE patient. Since 2005, HOPE has treated patients exclusively through the efforts of volunteer medical and dental professionals. HOPE plans to continue to grow the volunteer model of service to reach a greater portion of those in the community falling through the cracks of the healthcare system.
The added services come out of a desire to not only better serve the community but to also better utilize the well-equipped medical clinic located in central Hendricks County.
HOPE is now accepting patients for Direct Primary Care which will begin April 1st. There will be two ways to be a patient at HOPE.
- Direct Primary Care – those who pay a monthly fee for access to the staff (paid) physician. Direct Primary Care patients will not see a volunteer physician. *This is not insurance.
- Community Care – those who will continue to receive care from medical and dental professionals donating their time in service to others.
HOPE Healthcare Services Direct Primary Care patients will receive the medical help they need at an affordable cost. Services center on personalized, focused and longer visits with your doctor in a caring environment. The program offers deep discounts on labs and imaging. HOPE will also provide prescription assistance.
HOPE invites all community members to one of their January open houses to learn more about our new Direct Primary Care service as well as our other services. Tour the well-equipped HOPE facility and meet some of the staff.
